Nigel J Hinton M.A. F.C.A FRHistS is a retired chartered accountant with a passion for local history, he and his wife Bridget are both qualified guides in Shrewsbury and their family is based in Shropshire. Nigel is a past master of the Shrewsbury Drapers Company and a trustee of VCH Shropshire, Shrewsbury Drapers Hall Preservation Trust and Shrewsbury Golf Club. When time allows Nigel plays golf and the saxophone, but not at the same time.

Nigel and Bridget were voluntary researchers on the Wroxeter Hinterland project in 1994-1997 and have visited many times with individuals and groups. Our own research has focused on agriculture, manufacturing, trade, guilds and logistics and people for talks, walks and tours for local organisations and visitors.
